ENTRIES are now open for Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association's annual Three Peaks Challenge.
Instead of the Yorkshire Three Peaks, the fell rescue team's biggest fundraiser of the year, is concentrated on the Wharfedale Three Peaks - Birks Fell, Buckden Pike, and Great Whernside.
Starting and finishing in Kettlewell, people can run or walk one of two routes, or choose to take a gentle family walk from Kettlewell to Starbotton alongside the River Wharfe. The three peaks route is 17 miles, the two peaks is 13.5 miles, and the valley walk is 4.5 miles.
UWFRA will host the event, and will post marshals along the routes. Entry includes free parking at the start, water at checkpoints, food at the finish, medal on completion of the Three Peaks and Two Peaks Challenge.
Ted Mason won the 2022 Three Peaks race in a time of two hours and 22 minutes.
