TESCO Supermarket says it is working to repair the heating at its Skipton store after customers and staff battle with this week's plunging temperatures.
One shopper who contacted the Craven Herald said it was colder inside the Craven Street store than it was outside and that members of staff were telling people that the heating had been off all week.
They said: "I think it is disgusting; its absolutely freezing in there, its just not good enough; the staff are all doing their best and are wrapped up against the cold, but its colder inside the store than it is outside, it must be illegal to make people work in such temperatures."
A spokesperson for Tesco said: “Our maintenance team are working to repair the heating at our Skipton Superstore and we hope to have it fixed as soon as possible. We apologise for the inconvenience.”
