AN apprentice at Dales-based James Wilding Joinery has been shortlisted for an industry 'rising star' award.
Harrison Ward, from Grassington, has been an apprentice at James Wilding Joinery, in Rylstone, for just more than two years and has recently achieved his Level -2 in Carpentry and Joinery (Architectural Joiner).
To add to his success, he has also been shortlisted for the Rising Star Award at the GGP Installers Award, held in Manchester in March.
James Wilding, who runs the business with wife, Emily, said: “We are beyond proud of the accomplished joiner Harrison has become, and are very much looking forward to seeing Harrison achieve his Level 3 later this year.
"Over his time with us Harrison has grown into an exceptionally talented young man, and continually goes above and beyond in all tasks he is presented with. He is a pleasure to mentor and a valuable member of our team."
James Wilding Joinery provides high quality bespoke joinery to Skipton and the surrounding areas. Specialising in the manufacture of timber doors, windows and staircases, together with the exclusive range of bespoke fitted furniture and kitchen ranges.
The business is proud to invest in the next generation by training apprentices and passing on knowledge, working closely with Craven College.
