A RE-TELLING of a classic tale of revenge and retribution is coming to Skipton Little Theatre next month.
Maybe Dick, a comedy by John Hewer, and directed by Bruce Knight, is based on the novel, Moby-Dick by Herman Melville and is described as an 'inventive, comic retelling on the high seas' from Lancashire-based Hambledon Productions, the company behind ‘Just Like That! The Tommy Cooper Show’ and ‘Dracula! One Bloody Fang After Another.
Maybe Dick will transport the Skipton audience back to Nantucket, 1841. Ishmael signs on to the Pequod, and witnesses the perils of nature, obsession, punning and physical comedy, as Captain Ahab conducts a reckless pursuit of the savage white whale, Moby Dick.
Maybe Dick comes to Skipton Little Theatre on Tuesday, March 5; performance 7.30pm; tickets £14. Booking online: https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/skiptonlittletheatre/t-jzqomxd; phone 0752 714 1176 or email skipton.little.theatre@gmail.com
