SAMARITANS have said a big thank you after being given a warm reception when they ran a stall at a recent Skipton Market in celebration of National Random Acts of Kindness Day (Saturday, February 17).
A spokesperson for the Pendle, Burnley, Craven and Rossendale branch said: "With an abundance of books, jigsaws and DVDs to give away, they got to meet a variety of locals and visitors to Skipton Market.
"Thanks go to Louise, Stacey and Nick for their help, from Skipton Town Council, and to our neighbours that helped with dismantling our gazebo. We look forward to seeing you all again in September for World Suicide Prevention Day. Thank you Skipton and all the visitors for your support."
