PLANS to build an extension to Trinity St Andrew's Church in Westmoreland Street, Skipton, have been lodged with North Yorkshire Council. Plans submitted by the church also include the demolition of the existing porch entrance as well as the single store extension to the Duckett Street side of the building.
A design and access statement with the application, says that in 2023 St Andrew’s Methodist and United Reformed church joined with Trinity Methodist Church and became Trinity St Andrews Methodist and United Reformed Church based at Westmorland Street. They are now one church operating on two sites under the name Trinity St Andrew’s. Since October 2023 the one church has been worshipping together at Westmoreland Street every week with very occasional services held at Newmarket Street.
