INGLEBOROUGH beaver scouts will be off to an international jamboree at Duncombe Park near York this summer with new equipment, thanks to a donation from the West Riding Masonic Community Fund.
On behalf of Ingleton Scout Group, Gemma Tyrie, Beaver team leader, and other representatives of the group gave Jeff Metcalfe, David Postill, and Bill Williams, of the Wenning Lodge, a huge thank-you after being presented with a cheque for £1,761.
Sue Haddrill, Ingleborough Deputy District Commissioner, said: "The grant will enable the group to buy a new gazebo and other much needed camping and storage equipment which they can take to Larkin, a massive international jamboree being organised by North Yorkshire Scouts in July.
"The adult volunteers from the group are very grateful for the support they have received as it enables them to deliver skills for life to nearly 100 youth members from the Ingleton area."
