LIVE science shows and 'slime-making' are set to draw the crowds to an Easter event for families in Skipton's Canal Basin on Saturday (March 30).
Organised by Skipton Town Council, Saturday's event will take place from 10am to 4pm with most of the activities free. Live science shows will be performed by Fun Science and soap-making workshops by Herd and Live.
There will also be a family treasure hunt through Skipton Woods, organised by Skipton Rotary Club, which will also be running Easter craft activities and promoting its eco day, due to take place at the town hall on April 27.
Skipton Air Cadets will also be there displaying drills and providing information about how people can get involved, Rombalds Radio will be making a live broadcast, there will be giant board games and a bouncy castle, and tasty snacks from Edge Pizza and Some Delish.
Skipton Town Council’s events supervisor, Tobias Garbutt, said: “This year sees the first Easter event run by Skipton Town Council, and we could not be more excited. We are continuously looking at ways to evolve the town council’s events and improve the visitor experience.
“We pride ourselves on providing accessible entertainment for everyone to enjoy”, Tobias added.
There is also an Easter Bunny Trail ongoing in the town until April 7. Families are invited to hunt down all the giant bunnies, which have been decorated by schools and youth groups and fill in a trail leaflet to be in with a chance of winning a hamper.
