A SCHEME to build four houses at Grundy Farm in Carleton, is being recommended for approval at next week's area planning committee meeting of North Yorkshire Council.
Builders RN Wooler and Co are seeking full planning permission to build four, two storey, three bedroom homes with off street parking, and also works to boundary walls.
The proposed access is off Main Street, with detached and integral garages within the site.
In March, 2019, plans to build six homes, including work to boundary walls, was refused by the former Craven District Council because it would have meant the partial demolition of the boundary wall of the grade two listed Grundy Farm, encroachment into the countryside, and highways safety.
A report to Tuesday's (April 2) Skipton and Ripon area planning committee meeting in Skipton however recommends that the new plan is approved.
It states: "Overall, with tilted balance in mind, the benefits provided through the provision of new housing would be supported by the proposal's enhancements to the setting of heritage assets, economic, social and environmental objectives of sustainable development, as set out in the local plan and provisions of the National Planning Policy Framework (NPFF)."
Tuesday's planning meeting takes place at the council offices in Belle Vue Square, Broughton Road, at 1pm.
