LILY Parkinson will take centre stage at this year's Skipton Gala after being chosen as gala queen.
11-year old Lily, who goes to Greatwood Primary School, and is a fan of music, dancing, sing and football, was selected for the role by judges at Hotel Rendezvous.
Joining her as attendants will be Mia Ogden, nine, who goes to Embsay Primary School, and eight year old Lily Oldfield, who also goes to Embsay School.
Michelle Marren, organiser of the selection event, said: "This year was exceptionally hard to make a choice as there were so many talented young ladies.
The judges decision was extremely difficult, but they are very confident Lily will rise to the challenge and make an excellent gala queen.
Lily will be crowned at this year’s gala on Saturday, June 8 and will lead the procession which starts on Westmoreland Street at 1pm.
The gala queens duties include representing Skipton Charities Gala at Colne and Silsden's galas, presentation evenings and laying a wreath on Remembrance Sunday.
