SKIPTON Film Club presents the much acclaimed film Past Lives by director Celine Song on April 7 at The Plaza Cinema, Skipton.
One of the greatest debut films of recent years, Past Lives charts the poignant relationship of its two main characters, Nora and Hae Sung, separated when Nora’s family move from Korea to Canada. What follows is a hauntingly bitter-sweet love story and a delicately nuanced film about past and present lives.
A debut film like no other, Song’s film has been a smash hit around the world, earning awards for its director and stars, and proving that audiences will flock to see a brilliantly made film about real people’s lives – without an explosion or car chase in sight! It is a film we have been looking forward to screening since the beginning of our current season.
This sumptuous looking film deserves to be seen on the big screen – and Skipton Film Club will provide that opportunity at 5.15pm on April 7 at the wonderful Plaza Cinema. We look forward to seeing you there.
