POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a crash on the A59 near Broughton Hall on Monday left the driver of a Range Rover with serious injuries.
At around 11.44am on Monday (March 25) a black Range Rover that was travelling along the A59 towards Broughton, pulled over to the side of the road just past the entrance to Broughton Hall.
A short time later, the Range Rover was struck by a white, MAN truck travelling in the same direction.
The driver of the Range Rover sustained serious injuries as a result and was taken to hospital where he currently remains.
The woman passenger in the Range Rover sustained less serious injuries and was taken to hospital and the truck driver was also taken to hospital to be checked over.
The section of the A59 was closed to traffic following the collision and fully reopened at around 10pm.
Police are appealing to anyone who either saw the collision or either of the vehicles before the incident to get in touch along with anyone who has dashcam footage of the collision or the vehicles travelling along the A59.
