THREE walkers had to be rescued from the summit of Ingleborough on Saturday night after reporting themselves lost in the dark.
The two males and one female called for help at just after 9pm and were told to wait at the summit shelter for Cave Rescue volunteers who then guided them back down to Crina Bottom, near Ingleton.
A spokesperson for Clapham based Cave Rescue Organisation said: "PhoneFind confirmed their position and they were asked to remain at the summit shelter. One team, in the Honda Pioneer, drove up onto Little Ingleborough and a second team went to Crina Bottom by Land Rover. Walking up, the teams met the mispers (missing persons) on the summit and escorted them down to Crina Bottom and all left the hill."
