A MAN in his 30s who injured his ankle while walking along the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon was carried by stretcher from the popular visitor attraction by cave rescue volunteers.
A spokesperson for the Clapham based Cave Rescue Organisation said: "A walker, a 34-year old male, stumbled on the return leg of the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail, sustaining a very painful ankle injury.
"After the team doctor had assessed the injury and given mild pain relief, team members splinted the ankle and stretchered the casualty to Beezleys. A team vehicle returned him to his partner’s car in the falls car park for her to drive him to hospital for a full assessment. We wish the casualty a speedy recovery."
