CIVIC leaders were amongst those who joined in celebrations of the 75th anniversary of Skipton Soroptimists.
Soroptimists from across Yorkshire attended the event marking the club's chartering, along with Skipton Mayor, Sheila Bentley, Susie Westwood, president of Soroptimist International of Yorkshire; Lindsay Green, programme director of Soroptimist International of Great Britain and Ireland, and North Yorkshire councillor Simon Myers.
Held at the weekend at Elsworth at the Mill in Skipton, there was also entertainment from South Craven rising stars Harvey Dewhurst and Holly Ingham with songs from the musicals.
Over the years, Skipton Soroptimists has amongst other things, supported Skipton Food Bank, The Principle Trust, The Beamsley Project, Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice.
Anyone wanting to know more about Soroptimists, can find out at a coffee morning on Thursday, April 25 at Skipton Soroptimists, Otley Street, from 10.30am to 12 midday.
