ARTISTS, crafts people and florists will be taking part in a spring fair due to take place at Gargrave Village Hall on Saturday (April 13).

Following the success of its first event in Gargrave in October last year, Craven Makers are back this weekend with another event, and have booked the hall for two more on August 10, and a Christmas event on November 30.

“We are proud to have lots of new artisans joining us to represent an even greater variety of disciplines including fused glass, precious metal clay, upholstery, wood turning, needle felting and crochet," said a spokesperson for the organisers. "As well as having the opportunity to watch the artists and makers demonstrating their skills, people will also be able to have a go themselves by booking a place at one of the workshops taking place during each event."

Currently, there are 28 artists and makers signed up to the events, nearly all from Gargrave, Skipton and Craven.

The spokesperson added: "Disciplines include watercolour, wet felting and needle felting, mixed media artworks, fused glass, papercrafts, polymer clay, gemstone jewellery, precious metal clay, lino printing, macramé, knitwear, kite making, embroidery and textile art, floristry, crochet, leathercraft and wood turning. Local florist Bethany Barnes and Gargrave’s very own Argentinian Dulce De Leche producer will also be selling at the event."
