POLICE say a vehicle was recorded yesterday (Saturday) travelling at 96mph on the A65 at Settle.
The North Yorkshire Police Traffic Bureau posted on X (Twitter) : "Deployment to a recent serious RTC location yesterday on the #A65 #Yorkshiredales. One vehicle was recorded travelling at 96 mph in a 60 mph limit, overtaking other vehicles over solid double white lines." The driver will receive a court summons.
There was a serious collision on the A65 on April 14 involving a single motorcycle. A man was taken to hospital following the collision at the junction of the A65 with Craven Bank Lane.
