ST Andrew's Church in Gargrave will be the setting for a 'Springtime Serenade' performed by the Libertas male voice choir on Saturday, May 11.
The afternoon concert will include songs from John Rutter and Jerome Kern as well as folk and more popular songs. There will also be some vocal and instrumental solos from the talented ensemble.
Libertas was launched after the lifting of Covid-19 pandemic restrictions; its name chosen to reflect the joy at having the freedom to sing again.
The group has grown from eight original members to 12 under the leadership of Elaine Dave. Libertas performs a varied programme of music from classical through to folk and more popular songs, often including one or two solos, vocal or instrumental pieces along the way.
The concert on May 11 will take place from 3pm to 4.30pm. Tickets: £10 booked in advance/£12 on the door adult £5/£7 under 16 including a complimentary glass of Prosecco.
