A SKIPTON primary school teacher has been nominated for a football award by parents of St Stephen's Catholic Primary School - and the public vote to choose the winner ends tomorrow (Friday).
Paul Douglass was nominated for the English Schools' Football Association award award for his dedication to providing footballing opportunities for pupils.
This includes taking pupils to a weekly after-school football session at Sandylands Sports Centre, Skipton, organising and entering tournaments, throughout the year, obtaining football kits and equipment.
He also points children to take up further opportunities including trials with Bradford City, Blackburn Rovers and York City academies.
He is up against seven others for the award, which is now up to the public vote, which ends tomorrow (April 26). Vote at: https://schoolsfootball.org/2024/04/19/esfa-reward-and-recognition-awards-2024-place-your-votes/
The winner of the award, and for other categories, will be announced at the ESFA’s Reward and Recognition awards ceremony at Villa Park on Saturday June 15.
