THE Rev Julie Clarkson has been made advisor in women's ministry in the Ripon Episcopal Area.
Rev Clarkson was commissioned into the role by Bishop Anna Eltringham, Bishop of Ripon, at a special ceremony celebrating 30 years of women's ministry at Bradford Cathedral on May 4.
Four other women priests were commissioned with Revd Julie for the other Episcopal areas of the Anglican Diocese of Leeds. This week Rev Clarkson is joining with other advisers from across the country for a training conference at Swanwick, Derbyshire.
Rev Clarkson, who lives in Settle, is vicar of the Benefice of Castleberg, part of the Leeds Anglican Diocese, and covering the parishes of Settle, Giggleswick and Rathmell with Wigglesworth.
