PEOPLE in Craven were amongst sky-watchers across the UK on Friday and Saturday last week to witness the fabulous Northern Lights.
Amidst ‘breathtaking’ levels of solar wind reaching earth, the skies were lit up with the most amazing colours, including in Skipton, where photographer Carl Milner took this picture from the top of Park Hill.
Mr Milner said: “It was an amazing sight on top of Park Hill, I was amazed how clear it was to the naked eye. I loved how visible it was when I turned the camera south to look over Skipton.”
Meanwhile, for all those in Craven on Friday who went to bed early and missed the spectacle, experts say there are signs of another storm approaching which might boost the aurorae again.
