VISITORS to Skipton Beer Festival will be able to enjoy a drink outside for the first time this year.
Held for the third year at Skipton Town Hall, organisers, the Keighley and Craven branch of CAMRA the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA), have opened up an outside space for the first time for the event, which will take place from Thursday (May 23) to Saturday.( May 25).
CAMRA member, Gill Shaw, said: "The festival is entirely organised and staffed by volunteers. Last year’s highly enjoyable and successful event was attended by real ale lovers from near and far.
"This year, we'll again have 70 real ales on traditional gravity service, plus real ale on KeyKeg, and a range of cider and perry, Prosecco and soft drinks."
She added: "An addition for 2024 is the bonus of an outside space, so let's hope for some warm and dry weather this year. To satisfy hunger-pangs, we'll have a range of pies from local award-winning butchers, Stanforth's. The town and area also benefit as a whole by bringing in visitors who make use of public transport, food outlets, and visit Skipton's many pubs and bars."
Entry is £4 payable on the door, and £1 for CAMRA members.
It will run on Thursday, May 23; and Friday, May 24; from 11am to 10pm, and on Saturday, May 25from 11am to 8pm. The event is open to over 18s only, and no dogs other than registered assistance dogs are allowed.
