CANDIDATES seeking to be elected MP for Skipton and Ripon are due to take part in a General Election hustings event in Settle on Tuesday, June 25.
There are eight candidates standing at the July 4 election; Malcolm Birks, Labour; Andy Brown, Green Party; Simon Garvey, Reform UK; Ryan Kett, Yorkshire Party; Andrew Murday, Liberal Democrats; Guy Phoenix, Heritage Party; Julian Smith, Conservative Party; Keith Tordoff, Independent.
The hustings event, which is open to all to attend, will take place from 5.30pm to 6.45pm at St John's Methodist Church and is being organised by Churches Together in Settle and District.
Those wishing to ask the candidates a question need to submit them by 6pm on Monday June 24 by email to electionctisad@gmail.com; question forms can also be downloaded from the Churches Together website: www.ctisad.org.ug
