SETTLE Community Library is hoping to recruit more supporters to help it stay open - and it has launched a crowdfunding appeal. The library, at Limestone View, Lower Greenfoot, runs a number of events and also delivers books to those who find getting to the library difficult.
On Saturday (June 22) there will a poetry and prose event from 2pm to 4pm as part of national refugee week.
Stay and Play takes place at 11am on Fridays during term time, and Lego club meets after school on Fridays, also during term time.
Knit and Natter meets on the first and third Thursday each month, at 10.30am, and on July 4, there will be a coffee morning to raise money for Breast Cancer Now.
Anyone interested in becoming a friend of the library is asked to drop in, find it on Facebook, or telephone 01609 534535. Donations in support of the library can be made on the JustGiving website at www.justgiving.com/settlelibrary.
