HOPES are high for a dry and sunny day for next weekend's Skipton Sheep Day.

Sunday's (June 30) event will see a range of fun activities and attractions for all the family taking place in the closed High Street and in the canal basin.

Organised by Skipton Town Council, there will be food and drink, live music, woodland walks, an artisan market with art and crafts makers, and more. Also back will be the ever popular The Sheep Show.

A spokesperson for the town council said: "We will have something for everybody, and a fantastic line up of entertainment happening throughout the day."

It will take place from 10am to 4pm. In addition to the town's car parks, park and ride, for £3, will be available at Gateway House, Gargrave Road.
