POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist died yesterday (Wednesday) after being in collision with a car at Thruscross, between Skipton and Harrogate.
The collision between the blue BMW 1200 motorcycle and a grey BMW 116D car took place at around 6.40pm on Wednesday (June 19) on Greenhow Hill Road.
The 59-year old male motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the car, a woman in her 30s, was taken to hospital for treatment and has since been released.
