AFTER having a very successful open gardens event in early June, members of Grassington in Bloom are now working hard to get ready for Yorkshire in Bloom judging day on July 11.
A spokesperson for the group said: "Despite the rainy weather we have had lately, plants, tubs and verges around the village are beginning to show plenty of colour. The group have been strimming, weeding and planting over the past few weeks and the results are now beginning to show. It is hoped that the group will achieve the gold award again this year."
Following the regional judging, the village will once again be under the spotlight on Friday, August 16 for the judging of the Britain in Bloom contest, when Grassington is up against seven others in the village section.
