ENVIRONMENTAL campaigning charity Friends of the Dales is staging a 'getting to know you' event including a walk in Gargrave next month.
The charity, which is based in Gargrave, is hoping it will be an opportunity for anyone who wants to learn more about the organisation to go along and find out about its work.
Due to take place on Thursday, August 1, from 5.30pm to 8.30pm, there will be a welcome session at the village hall followed by a leisurely, three mile circular walk taking in the village's lovely countryside.
Places can be booked by emailing : victoria.benn@friendsofthedales.org.uk
There are also still spaces available for the charity’s accessible stile free, four mile walk up Great Asby Scar on Thursday July 31, from 11am to 3pm. Places can be booked either with or without a free to hire all-terrain wheelchair. Visit: www.friendsofthedales.org.uk/events
