PLANS to build timber stables on land near Stone Trough House, off Old Stone Trough Lane in Kelbrook, have been submitted to Pendle Borough Council.

Proposed for land to the North West of the house are three stables, a tack-room, utility room and hay-store. Also included is the change of use of land to 'horsiculture' - the keeping of horses for leisure purposes. A new entrance is proposed off Old Stone Trough Lane and track to the proposed stables.

An earlier application for stables and change of use of land at the site was withdrawn in April this year.

Other applications received by the council in the West Craven area of Pendle include: Erection of a single storey side extension to form an annexe at Lingstead, Hill Top, Foulridge.
