THE Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever comes to the Dales on Sunday (July 28) with people channelling their inner Kate Bush, putting on something red and dancing their hearts out on the 'wily, windy moors' of Ingleborough.

Hosted by the Three Peaks Players, and held at Ingleborough Hall Outdoor Education Centre, Clapham, people in the Dales will, along with others across the world, learn and perform the 'iconic' Kate Bush Wuthering Heights dance - inspired by Cathy in Emily Bronte's masterpiece, Wuthering Heights.

Adrienne Robins, from the players, said it will be the first time the event, which was first staged in Brighton in 2013, has ever been held in Yorkshire. The fully ticketed event will see all funds going towards the Clapham based Cave Rescue Organisation.

"Participants will follow in the footsteps, or should we say dance steps, of many other groups across the world from as far afield as Sydney, Texas and Copenhagen. Surreal though it may seem, participants are invited to dress as Cathy from Kate Bush’s iconic video, complete with a red dress and black belt.

"They will then be taught the iconic dance, with a dance instructor taking them through the moves, step by floaty step. Once learned, the group of red-dressed Cathys will perform the dance in the stunning Dales location."

Tickets to Sunday's event, from 11am to 1pm, are limited and are available from Eventbrite. It is a free event, but participants will be asked to make a suggested donation of £10 to the CRO. Tickets from: https://bit.ly/3yhQaU1. For more details, find the Three Peaks Players on Facebook.
