SKIPTON is set to host the Skipton Snapshot Music Festival, a family-friendly event of music, activities, culture and cuisine.
Musicians from the region confirmed for the festival line-up on Sunday, August 4, include Bypass and Selectiano, who will perform a house set, DJ TORO, who will provide soca and reggae beats, Hot Liquor Tank with a full live band, and Sarah Widdup, who will perform an acoustic set.
Additionally, festival-goers will have the chance to sing their heart out in a live karaoke tent organised with the team at The Devonshire Vaults.
And, taking part in the karaoke, performing two songs, will be Skipton Mayor, Claire Nash, who will be raising money for Manorlands Hospice.
Tobias Garbutt, Skipton town council's event supervisor, said: "We are so excited to be able to bring a live music festival to Skipton.
"There is clearly a demand for it, and we couldn’t be happier with our line up.
"The aim of the event is to give a snapshot of the best music, best food, and best drink that Skipton and the surrounding areas have to offer.
"It will be day filled with good food, music, drink, and hopefully sun.
“This event would not have been possible without the generosity and support from many of Skipton Businesses.
"These include Skipton Hire Centre for providing the generator, The Devonshire Vaults for supplying the karaoke tent, EP Print Ltd and 1EW Design & Display for supplying the marketing materials, and Your Skipton for presenting on the day.
"There are many more to mention and please accept our gratitude for you."
Councillor Peter Madeley, chair of the events and market committee, said: "We are really looking forward to this event - it is really great to see new and fresh events coming on to our event calendar, especially ones that can incorporate the younger generation further."
The festival will offer a range of activities tailored for kids, including face painting, henna, crafts, and other fun activities.
Meanwhile, adults can avail themselves of bars and pop-up kitchens.
Food and drink vendors have been selected to showcase cuisine from the region, running the gamut from gourmet street food to traditional Yorkshire dishes.
Exhibitors include Efendy, Palomino Pizza, the Flip Side Café, and The Tea Corner.
The Mess Room's Barumba, Venue Sports Bar, and The Narrow Boat are some of Skipton's town bars that will serve at the event.
The Skipton Snapshot Music Festival aims to bring people together through the universal language of music, and will take place from 11am until 5pm on Sunday, August 4.
