HIGH Street chemist Boots in Skipton will stay open and is not one of the hundreds of branches due to close across the country.
Earlier this year, Boots announced it will close 300 stores by the end of the summer. Many have already shut, including its Grassington branch, but some remain to be closed in the coming months.
The closures however do not include the shop and pharmacy in Skipton High Street.
A Boots spokesperson said: “We would like to assure our customers and patients that Boots Skipton High Street is not closing.”
Grassington Boots in Station Road is now under new ownership and has reopened as Grassington Pharmacy. Its new owners are Samina Khan and Kevin Harle, who also own Pateley Bridge Pharmacy.
