WORK colleagues Andrew Leverton and Craig Pickles have set themselves an impressive 'tower to tower' challenge - to cycle 470 miles from Blackpool Tower to the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
Andrew (Levy), from Hellifield and Craig, from Burnley, who both work at Rolls-Royce, Barnoldswick, plan to set off from Blackpool on Saturday, August 24 and arrive in Paris just three days later on August 26.
They are raising money for three charities close to their hearts - The Yorkshire Air Ambulance, in memory of Levy's dad; Martin Leverton Cardiomyopathy UK, in memory of a work colleague and Liam Kay Primrose unit, in Burnley hospital in support of another work colleague. And helping them along the way will be their support team - Levy's sons Jack and Charlie.
They have set themselves a target of £3,000 and have so far raised more than £1,400. To help them in reaching their goal, find Levy and Craig's tower to tower challenge on the Go Fund Me website: www.gofundme.com/f/levy-and-craigs-tower-to-tower-challenge-2024
