SKIPTON'S first Snapshot Music Festival at the weekend has been declared a great success.
Sunday's event held on the closed High Street was a chance to celebrate the 'skills, talent and personality' of the town, said organisers, Skipton Town Council.
The free event saw families enjoying live music on a stage with acts including Sarah Widdup, DJ Toro, Hot Liquor Tank, Bypass and Selectiano.
One festival goer said: "It was a great day out, and something different for Skipton, I hope it comes back next year."
A spokesperson for Skipton Town Council said: "We just want to say a massive thank you to everyone who made the event such a success.
"Thank you to all the brilliant traders and vendors, and to the brilliant and professional team at Your Skipton Radio and the Yorkshire Sound Service, who presented and ran our stage.
"And, to all the incredibly talented musicians and DJs who were on our stage, and performance spaces, throughout the day."
