LIVE-in care provider Promedica24 has raised £3,000 for a dementia charity's annual golf day.

The event, hosted at Skipton Golf Club for charity Dementia Forward, saw participants greeted with breakfast and goodie bags before taking to the course.

After the round, a two-course meal was laid on followed by a raffle, whose prizes included a tour of Black Sheep Brewery and tickets to the Ripon Races.

Last year, Promedica24 sponsored Dementia Forward's Winter Ball, raising more than £7,000.

It also raised more than £14,000 for Supporting Older People’s Summer Ball, aiding the charity in its mission of alleviating loneliness for older people who live by themselves.

Gary Derbyshire, regional partner at Promedica24, said: "The Golf Day was a great success, and I hope everyone who attended had a good time and had fun on the course!"

Debby Lennox, head of community operations, said: "Thank you to our very generous sponsors, and everyone who supported the day with prizes or by going along and taking part in the course.

"This year was our third annual golf day, and it was wonderful to see many familiar faces, and to meet some new supporters as well.

"We are already looking forward to next year!"
