THE finalists have been revealed for this year's Skipton Business Improvement District (BID) Business Awards.
Three businesses in 12 categories, including best coffee shop and best health and wellbeing business, have been shortlisted with the winners announced at the awards ceremony at Skipton Town Hall in October.
Some businesses have been shortlisted in more than one category, and new for this year is a long service award, for a business that has operated in the town for more than 20 years.
The three finalists are Bizzie Lizzies restaurant; Cinderella's wedding gowns shop; bakers, Phillipe's Bakery, and letting agents Belvoir!.
In the running for coffee shop of the year are Bean Loved, Brown Bag Cafe and Cozy Cuppas.
Hair and beauty business of the year finalists are Eddy's Mobile Barbering, Rebecca Reynold's Clinic, and Sitting Pretty.
For best new business, the finalists are: Cozy Cuppas, Holistic House and Some Delish.
Professional services business of the year finalists are: Belvoir!, FB Mortgages, and Skipton Building Society.
Fighting it out for pub or bar of the year are: The Beer Engine, Speakeasy and VSQ.
In the running for best health and wellbeing business are: Alli's Holistic Therapies; Holistic House, and Sarah Rennison Physiotherapy.
Best restaurant finalists are: Efendy, Le Caveau and Phoebes.
Finalists for best live entertainment venue are: The Mess Room, Sound Bar, and Speakeasy.
In the running for tourism business of the year are: Raven Tree Top Adventure, Skipton Boat Trips, and Yarndale festival.
For customer service team of the year, its Belvoir!, Discount Sports Skipton and North Blinds.
And, for retailer of the year, its Berries Florist, Discount Sports Skipton, Dogsbody and Friends, and Out of the Ordinary.
The finalists were chosen by an independent judging panel. It followed them being nominated and after being longlisted, being contacted to provide more information in relation to the final judging criteria.
An awards ceremony will take place At Skipton Town Hall on October 7.
Sarah Howsen, BID manager, said: "We know what an amazing range of businesses we have, and this is a chance for the public to say thank you to their favourite business.
"This year we have included the long service award to say an extra big thank you to those businesses which have traded in and supported Skipton for more than 20 years. I’m sure it will be another fabulous evening when the winners are announced in October."
