KIKI Dee, Henry Blofeld, and comedy group The Noise Next Door are all heading to Silsden Town Hall in the coming weeks.

The new season kicks off with the Silsden Festival of Ideas, comprising nine talks taking place over three days, from Friday, August 23 to Sunday, August 25.

Speakers include Martin Lunn, who will discuss Viking and Arabic astronomy; Neil Hanson, who will present a humorous account of his time running Britain's highest pub; and David Mason, who will examine Silsden's past through the eyes of four very different men.

Also in August, sports journalist and broadcaster Henry Blofeld will share his life story ahead of the cricket season's end.

The Grumbleweeds will be joined by an eight-piece band in 'Bring on the 80's,' while Nikky Smedley, the yellow Teletubby, will take her audience behind the scenes of that beloved television show.

Comedians Daliso Chaponda, The Noise Next Door, and Howard Walker will provide a diverse comedy offering.

The town hall's event season includes three festive shows: 'What the Dickens,' 'The Snowman' with Bradford Concert Band, and a tribute to Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra.

Tickets for all Silsden Town Hall events are available online at silsden.live or at the Town Hall box office on weekdays between 10am and 2pm.
