STUDENTS at The Skipton Academy have been praised for a set of GCSE results that have reflected a year of 'consistent effort and dedication' and a testament of both their and their teachers' hard work.

This year, 63 percent of students achieved grades nine to four in English, a core subject where many students say the school performed admirably. In Maths, half of the students also earned grades nine to four, marking solid performance in another critical area of the curriculum. And, across all subjects, 51 percent reached grades nine to four, indicating consistent achievement throughout the student body.

While the overall results are commendable, several students have distinguished themselves with outstanding individual performances, including Emerson Ingham who achieved two grade nines, in English Literature and French, one grade eight in English Language, and a grade seven in Geography.

In addition, other students have made significant progress, above national figures, since joining The Skipton Academy. These students, who have made notable strides in their academic journeys, include Gabor Banks; Charlotte Dobson; Ronald Holtom, Sufyaan Mahmood, Joshua Manning, Jessica Shaw, Oliver Tipling and Ember-Rose Whitehead.

School principal, Richard McManus, said: "We are encouraged by the progress our students have made and the dedication shown by everyone involved. These results reflect the steady efforts of our students, and the support provided by our dedicated staff. We look forward to continuing our work to support students in achieving their full potential."

As the academic year concludes, the school says it is celebrating this year's achievements while looking ahead to further progress. It wishes to express its congratulations to all students and thanks the staff, and parents for their ongoing support.
