SPRINGBANK Care Home in Silsden has celebrated the summer season with two successful intergenerational events, in which youngsters from the area came together with residents.

The Schools Out for Summer gatherings were hosted on Friday, August 9 and Friday, August 23, and filled with crafts, games, and tasty homemade snacks.

Lisa Pickles, home manager, said: "We are incredibly pleased to have hosted such delightful events at Springbank.

"Intergenerational activities like these have benefits all around for both residents and children.

"Residents feel a sense of purpose and fulfilment from interacting with the younger generation, while the children have had the opportunity to learn valuable life lessons and develop empathy.

"It's a win-win situation that brings joy and enrichment to our community."

Springbank Care Home added: "Thank you to all the children who joined us at these recent sessions.

"We hope you enjoyed them as much as our residents have!"
