SKIPTON Building Society, in conjunction with Yorkshire and Humber Regional Organised Crime Unit is holding a free fraud and cybercrime session this month.
Open to the public, the free session, will be held in the evening and take place at the company's headquarters at The Bailey in Skipton.
A spokesperson for Skipton Building Society said people did not need to be a customer to attend the session.
"The session 'be safe be secure' which is open to the public whether they’re a Skipton Building Society member or not, aims to share knowledge and help people to protect themselves from fraud and scams.
"Yorkshire and Humber Regional Organised Crime Unit will present topics including staying safe online, fraud and the many forms that can take, AI, cyber-crime, scams - and how you can protect yourself from all of these.
Skipton Building Society colleagues from the information, security and financial crime teams will also be on hand to speak with customers and to offer advice over a cuppa and some biscuits."
The session will take place on Tuesday, September 10 from 5pm to 7pm at The Bailey headquarters. More details email: cyberprotect@yhrocu.police.uk
