PARENTS concerned about keeping their children safe in the digital world are invited to a meeting with experts in Embsay on the evening of Monday, September 30.
Anna Sarjantson from ScreenSafe, which offers support to parents and schools, will be speaking at Smartphone Free Childhood’s second public meeting at Embsay Primary School.
Anna will be joined by Georgina Hodgson, headteacher of Embsay Primary School, and Craven police officer, Sgt Paul Evans. A Smartphone Free Childhood representative will also explain the new online community Parent Pacts, which provides support on a local level.
Anyone who would like to ask Anna a question can email her in advance at: anna@screen-safe.co.uk. The meeting is due to start at 7.30pm.
Screen Safe believes raising awareness on online access and safety has never been more important and that 'parents need to understand the different risks at different across the different platforms that their children are facing every day, so they can support their child with the risks and develop positive online behaviours and boundaries'.
