Skipton's Purl &Jane will be participating in the North Yorkshire Yarn Trail.

The trail, running from September 14 to 29, will see 13 independent yarn shops across the region welcoming knitters and crocheters.

Purl &Jane, located behind the High Street in Mount Pleasant, has been serving the community for more than 14 years.

The shop's products are made from natural fibres sourced from North Yorkshire's sheep.

The North Yorkshire Yarn Trail, founded by Sharon King of Ewe & Yarn, in Thirsk, and Fiona Burks of Yarn Etc, in Harrogate, takes place in advance of Yarndale, Skipton’s festival of wool and creativity.

During the trail, Purl &Jane will be stamping visitors' yarn trail passports and giving away free patterns.

The shop will also host a hand-knit sample sale, and, on the last weekend of the trail, offer a 10 per cent discount on all yarns and patterns.

To join the trail, pick up a passport and map from Purl &Jane - or any other participating shop - and visit as many shops as you can during the two-week period.

Participants will be able to enter a prize draw, for a gift voucher, if they visit several shops along the trail.

Updates are available on Purl &Jane's social media channels.
