A CHARITY has marked its 40th anniversary with a celebration.
Foundation, based on Cross Street opposite Christ Church, in Skipton, provides help and support to vulnerable people across the Craven area.
Its initiatives include a Resettlement and Community Safety Scheme, which works with offenders who have the highest need and pose the greatest risk to themselves and the community; and the North Yorkshire Young People’s Pathway, which gives young people the necessary support, advice, and mediation to enable them to stay in their present accommodation and also provides alternative accommodation options.
Foundation also runs a Mental Health Scheme, which takes referrals from various places including the Community Mental Health Team, GPs, hospitals, and substance misuse agencies, as well as taking self-referrals.
A party was held by the charity at its hostel on Thursday, September 5 to mark its anniversary.
Staff made cakes for all to enjoy.
