AVERAGE speed cameras on the A682 Gisburn to Long Preston road are expected to be turned on 'soon' says Lancashire County Council.
Final preparations are being carried out on the cameras which end at the county boundary with North Yorkshire and are part of safety improvements along the road before they become fully operational.
A spokesperson for Lancashire County Council said: "Our contractor Jenoptik is currently undertaking the final phase of testing on the new cameras on the A682 Gisburn to North Yorks boundary.
"The cameras are part of a package of safety improvements along the A682, which include solar-powered road studs to highlight the centreline and rumble strips to highlight the edge of the road over 13km.
"We expect the new cameras to be fully operational soon and will inform the public in advance of this."
