A COLOURFUL, fun event at Thornton-in-Craven Primary School has raised more than £2,000 for the school.
Children, staff and parents all got involved in the sponsored colour run at the school in Cam Lane which saw the throwing of lots of coloured paint powder.
Headteacher, Suzie Brown, said: "The children ran around an obstacle course in their class groups while teachers and parents threw coloured powder paint at them.
"The fundraising was boosted by a generous donation from the Tempests of Broughton Charitable Trust that made it possible to buy the paint to throw at the event.
"The Friends of Thornton School parent group are fundraising to improve outdoor learning areas and opportunities in their outdoor area. The event has so far raised over £2,000."
