Glusburn Community Primary School hosted a successful MacMillan coffee morning, raising over £400 in support of the cancer support charity.
The event was a community-focused initiative, combining the coffee morning with the donation of harvest gifts to Skipton Food Bank and the promotion of Fair Trade products.
The event highlighted the importance of Fair Trade, with students learning how Fair Trade helps farmers support their families.
Cross Hills Co-op donated all the Fair Trade tea, coffee and sugar while parents contributed homemade baked goods, many of which incorporated Fair Trade ingredients such as sugar and chocolate.
Adding to the atmosphere, the school choir performed for the attendees.
The event’s dual purpose of supporting both MacMillan Cancer Support and local charities made it a memorable occasion for everyone.
