POLICE have launched an appeal after a 12-year-old boy was injured in a collision at a pedestrian crossing near Morrisons in Skipton.
The incident happened just after 8am on Thursday morning when the 12-year-old boy, who was a pedestrian, was crossing from B&M towards Morrisons on Broughton Road.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: "We’re appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a collision at a pedestrian crossing at Morrisons Supermarket on Broughton Road in Skipton.
"It happened between 8.10am and 8.30am on Thursday, October 3, and involved a white Toyota Yaris and a pedestrian who was crossing from B&M towards Morrisons.
"The pedestrian, a 12-year-old boy, sustained serious injuries to his foot as a result of the collision.
"We’re appealing for any witnesses to the collision, or anyone with relevant dashcam footage, to contact us. Please email William.Larmour@northyorkshire.police.uk if you can help.
