A POPULAR brass ensemble is set to return to Concert & Cakes for a concert this month All Saints Church in Burton-in-Lonsdale.

A spokesperson for Concert & Cakes said: “Concert & Cakes is back on Saturday, October 19, the most popular brass ensemble we’ve ever had – Rosamund Brass.

“This will be the third and last time they’ll perform for us – they are so busy now, so definitely one you shouldn’t miss. They first performed for us in 2022.

“Individually the members of this quartet bring together some of the biggest names in brass music, including the Grimethorpe Colliery Band, Carlton Main and Frickley Colliery band, Halle Orchestra and Bergen Philharmonic.

“With these ensembles, they have performed all over Europe in some of the world’s finest venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, Bridgewater Hall, the KKL Lucerne Concert Hall and The Grieg Hall in Norway.

“It’s a whole new programme, so if you heard them last time you need to come again.”

Seating is on a first-come first-served basis.

A donation will be requested at the end of the concert and a contribution to the cost of refreshments.

The Juna String Quartet will be the next Concert & Cakes performance on Saturday, November 16.
