A heart-warming musical celebrating love, family, and the unbreakable bonds of friendship is set to be performed in Settle, featuring the songs of iconic duo The Proclaimers.
Sunshine on Leith, a production from Settle Musical Theatre, will be performed at Victoria Hall from October 23 to October 26.
The story follows two best friends, Davy and Ally, who return to their hometown of Edinburgh following a stint in the British Army.
Their attempts to readjust to civilian life ensue, with old romances rekindled and family struggles navigated, plus personal challenges too.
Davy falls in love with "feisty English nurse" Yvonne, while Ally hopes to win the heart of Davy's sister Liz.
Meanwhile, parents Rab and Jean are faced with a secret that threatens to upend their marriage.
Hit songs by The Proclaimers, including I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles), Letter from America, and Sunshine on Leith, will all feature.
A spokesperson for the production said: "Brimming with Scottish spirit and energy, the musical delivers a powerful and emotional journey where characters learn what it means to come home and where love ultimately prevails, even when life gets complicated.
"It’s a joyful celebration of resilience, human connection, and the power of music to heal.
"Don't miss it!"
Tickets are available from the Victoria Hall website at https://www.settlevictoriahall.org.uk/, as well as in person at the box office.
