SKIPTON Town Council is exploring the possibility of setting up a community hub in the town - and it is asking residents whether it is a good idea.
It has launched a survey which asks people how interested they would be in a community hub, and what services they would like to see offered - such as arts, crafts and cooking workshops, fitness classes, as a meeting place for groups, or for the holding of events, or children's activities.
The survey also asks people where best the hub should be located, in the town centre, or near residential areas, and how important should accessibility be - such as should it be close to public transport, or have parking.
A spokesperson for Skipton Town Council encouraged people to have their say and to take part in the survey. "We are exploring the idea of establishing a community hub in Skipton. This hub could serve as a central location for activities, services, and social gatherings. Your input is invaluable in shaping this initiative. Your responses will help us understand the community's needs and desires for a potential hub in Skipton."
